Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA)

The scientific name of Trichloro-s-Triazine Trione (TCCA) is one of a series of chlorinated isocyanuric acid products. TCCA is widely used in bleaching, disinfection, sterilization and wool shrinkage prevention.

Product Applications

This product is a new, highly effective sterilization and bleaching agent. It has the characteristics of high effective chlorine content, high efficiency of sterilization and bleaching, stable storage and transportation, easy to use, safe and harmless, etc. It has been widely used in the following fields. (Ⅰ)Water quality treatment

1. Swimming pool water treatment

Disinfection of swimming pool water has been a headache for many years. If you do not use the treatment agent, the pool water will need to be replaced frequently, or germs can easily grow, the pool wall with a layer of sticky and dirty microbial algae, the water will also give off an unpleasant smell. Most domestic swimming pools are currently using bleach Ca (CIO)2 disinfection, but Ca (CIO)2 easy to decompose, storage difficulties, easy to wall pool scaling, pool water often need to adjust the pH value with acid. The product has four major advantages.

  • The cyanurate that remains after the release of the effective chlorine has a stabilizing effect on the effective chlorine in the water, and is non-toxic in itself.
  • Low chemical effect on swimming pool water, reducing the need for pH regulators.
  • Excellent killing effect on bacteria and algae in the pool.
  • Storage stability.

This product is the most excellent swimming pool water treatment chemicals, long-term use can make the pool wall without algae, not slippery, pool water clarity.

Usage: Put 3-5 grams of this product per cubic meter of water per day in the swimming pool.

2. Drinking water disinfection

With this product to treat drinking water, not only can eliminate all kinds of germs in the water, but also can kill all kinds of algae microorganisms, destroy and eliminate the H2S and other pollutants dissolved in the water, the formation of color and not the elongated smell. Suitable for drought and serious pollution areas and the army field accommodation, field work, travel and other clean drinking water use.

Add 0.4g of this product per 100kg of water, stir well and leave for a period of time to achieve the purpose of sterilization.

3. Industrial circulating cooling water treatment

Using this product to treat industrial circulating cooling water not only can effectively destroy various microorganisms, but also has the characteristics of easy to use and manage, and is safer than chlorine sterilization.

Add 0.5g of this product per 1m3 of water, the concentration of free chlorine in cooling water is generally controlled between 0.25~0.5ppm, and the PH value is adjusted to 7~8.

(Ⅱ)Industrial bleaching

HOCI is precipitated in water and reacts with the conjugate bonds (i.e., chromophores) of the fiber, destroying the original conjugate system and changing the wavelength of light absorption of the fiber, thus achieving the purpose of bleaching. This product is used in bleaching, not only has high bleaching efficiency, but also is much less erosive to the fiber than other bleaching agents. It can also improve the tensile strength and elongation of fibers.

The suitable conditions for rayon bleaching are: concentration 0.5~2.0g/liter, PH5.6, operating temperature 70℃, soaking time 35~45 minutes.

The bleaching conditions for synthetic fibers such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon are as follows: 9.3 g/l, CA2.6 g/l, NaHCO32.06 g/l, soak the fibers at 20℃, squeeze the fibers to absorb 100% of the moisture, wind them and heat them with water vapor at 100℃, then soak them in water at 60℃ with NaHSO38 g/l and HCI1 ml/l for one hour, wash and dry them to get the whiteness. Extremely high fiber.

Bleaching conditions for linen: this product 5 g / l, PH 5.3 to 5.6, 60 ℃, soak for 50 minutes.
Ingredients for laundry and household rinsing agents are.

This product 36 (wt)%, sodium tripolyphosphate 25 ~ 40 (wt)%, anhydrous sodium silicate 5 (wt)%, the amount of soda ash appropriate, the amount of rinsing solution for 2.5 ~ 4.5 g/kg clothes.

(Ⅲ)Disinfectant

This product is a new type of disinfectant for industrial, domestic and environmental hygiene. The most important feature of this product for disinfection is that it can provide a constant concentration of [O], and it and its hydrolysis residues are harmless to human body.

1. Disinfection of tableware

Add 0.25 grams of this product to every 5 kg of water, and put the washed dishes into disinfectant water for 5 minutes, then the purpose of disinfection can be achieved.

2. Sewage and faeces disposal

Add 5 grams of this product per cubic meter of sewage or manure to eliminate odor.

3. Seed sterilization

It can break the dormancy period of seeds, improve the germination rate of seeds and inhibit the occurrence of diseases. (At the same time, there is no environmental pollution, harmless to humans and animals). 0.2% aqueous solution of the product soaked seeds for 12 hours.

4. Aquaculture disinfection

(1) Silkworm farming for disinfection of silkworm rooms, tools and bodies.

Water: Add 200 kg of water per kilogram of the product, stir to be dissolved in the product can be sprayed, impregnated with disinfection, per kilogram of liquid can be sprayed on the ground or silkworm gear 2 to 5 square meters.

Fumigation: In a sealed silkworm chamber, 5 grams per cubic meter of medicine placed on a metal plate and heated for more than 15 minutes to achieve the purpose of disinfection.

Powder: With lime powder, white mud, etc. by weight ratio of 1:200 to 1:500 prepared into a powder for silkworm body, silkworm disinfection seat.

(2) Fish breeding industry for disease prevention and treatment agent (for reference applications)

a. Prevention: Generally control the concentration of the product in the water to 0.2ppm, dosing every 10 days.

b. Treatment: If the dead fish found in the pond for a short period of time, when the disease is mild, spray the whole pond with 0.3ppm concentration of the product for two days, while feeding 50 grams of the product per 100 pounds of fish for five days (the method of feeding the product is to stir the appropriate amount of soybean meal or tapioca flour into a paste with boiling water, mix the product into the cold, and then sticky grass feeding). If the onset of the disease is long and severe, the number of days of feeding can be increased. And the concentration of the whole pool can be increased to o.4ppm.

5. It is used for disinfecting hospital sewage, laundry towels, diapers, bedpans, medicine bowls and instruments.

Compared with the commonly used Neosporin, carbonic acid, chlorine, chloramine-T, the dosage of this product is only 1/10~1/100 of the above conventional disinfectant for the same disinfected object, and the sterilization speed is fast and effective.

6. Disinfection and deodorization agent for household and public places garbage and dirt.

The formula is: 25%, 25-65% sodium tripolyphosphate, 10-15% p-dichlorobenzene, suitable for disinfection and deodorization of toiletries and garbage as well as gutters.

(Ⅳ)Wool anti-shrink treatment

The outer surface of wool fibers is covered with a layer of scales, due to the relative movement of the scales, the so-called felt effect occurs, so that the woolen fabric gradually shrinks, resulting in longitudinal and transverse contraction. The product is decomposed into hypochlorous acid in water, which in turn decomposes and releases a new ecological atom oxygen [O], which interacts with proteins, destroys a part of the protein molecule disulfide bridge molecules, and transforms it into a sulfhydryl bridge, eliminating the scaly outer skin of wool, so as to prevent shrinkage.

This product not only reduces matting, but also improves the luster and dyeability of wool, and the shrinkage of wool is reduced from more than 35% to less than 5%. The treated fiber does not shrink or pilling.

(V)Three waste treatment and other applications

1. CN, Hg-containing wastewater treatment

It is used for CN and Hg wastewater treatment, converting CN into harmless material within 5-10 minutes, with conversion rate up to 99.9%.

2. Bonding agent

Dissolve the product in ethyl ester solvent and then surface treat the rubber sole of leather shoes, which will speed up the penetration of the adhesive and increase the adhesion twice.

3. Crop disease prevention and treatment

Spray the product 500-800 times on crops after diluting it with water, it has some preventive and inhibitory effects on sticky blight, rice blast, slimy blight, bad seedling disease and rust.

Transportation and storage

  • Avoid contact with acid, alkali and organic substances during transportation and storage.
  • This product and its series products should be kept dry during transportation and storage. Except for special water agent.
